Suggestion The Amazing Bomb

I believe that we should have more initiative to become a spy, rather than just to sneak into the U.S base and "collect intel" or "assassinate" an official. I believe that there should be an official event to happen; Bomb Defusal / Bomb Planting.

Reminder: This is a suggestion that can be improved and changed in many ways it does NOT have to be this exact way.

So, the spy (possibly a special spy class) would have a bomb and enter this U.S base. There would be a radius set inside of the base to where they are allowed to plant the bomb (anywhere inside the base basically). It would take 15-30 seconds to arm it and the person arming it would have to play a mini game with the bomb out in their hand, or already planted on the ground/wall. If they succeed, then the bomb would be planted for 5 minutes or so. If they were to fail, then the location of the failed attempt would pop up for all of U.S to see. After the 5 minutes or a failed attempt at disarming it, the bomb would proceed to explode, giving the Taliban XP (like in a raid). If the bomb is successfully disarmed, then the U.S would get XP and the spy would be revealed (or not so MP have to hunt them down). Now for disarming it, it could either be a separate class like a bomb defusal team, anyone with a multitool, etc.

So overall it would possibly add these aspects:

  • Another form of the spy class
  • An actual thing for the spies to do
  • A F-ing Bomb
  • A mini game / more use for the multitool
  • Another form of gaining XP / a new event
  • More reason to have MP / more for them to do
  • A Defusal Team
  • Many more possibilities!

So, I ask everyone who sees this to please add more ideas to this and +1 the heck out of it because it would be a BLAST!

+1 this idea times infinity. I want to see this type of thing. It would make the MP have to be more watchful as spies could actually be an issue more than just them being in the base.

+1 many times. I was on my way to suggest this as I found this post. We need more RP oriented reasons for people to be spy. MP is, for all intensive purposes, just title. There is little to no reason to be a spy or MP, as there aren't any missions, goals, etc other than "intel" which is just RP based. +1 + 1 +1.

I like this idea, but it comes with a lot of questions:

- For example, say the Jihadists are able to plant the bomb and are meant to defend it within the US base. Would spawnpoints for this event change? Would Jihadists spawn near the bomb and the US outside their base or in their spawn?

- Being a spy is already a fairly difficult and dangerous task, as you can basically be checked by MP at any time. I'm for giving spies a new task within the base, but you're making it sound as if the spies don't have much to do. They do. Why do the Jund Al-Sham deserve even more responsibilities over the other Jihadist branches?

- It wouldn't make sense for the spy who planted the bomb to automatically be discovered. There logically wouldn't be any indentifiers on the bomb that would suggest who planted it.

Overall, I would like to see an event like this added, but it should definitely contain more details about the what/how/where/etc.

I agree with you except about MP. However this is not what this is about. I will continue to +1.
